Amazing. Intense. Gripping. Striking.I absolutely loved it! Savage Things is this second installment in The Chaos & Ruin Series (the sister series to Blood & Roses) and we are back in the life of Zeth Mayfair and Sloane Romera. I have lived and breathed these two incredible characters for almost two years and my love for them will never fade. Once again their story owned me from start to finish. This book was emotionally taxing and I’m still reeling from it. There were times I felt like my heart was being ripped out my chest. There is so much going on in this book. This time we also get to hear Mason’s POV we met in book one, who plays a very important part of this story. The story picks up where we left off in Violent Things. Zeth and Sloane are still adjusting to live a normal life as a couple. Sloane is quite busy working at St Peter hospital and Zeth is still running the gym with his friend and co-worker Michael. Things have been blissful quiet. Too quiet. Zeth's trying to stay out of trouble but trouble always has a way of finding him and demons have a way of showing up when you least expect it. Just when things were starting to look calm, like life was slowing down a little, Zeth receives a phone call from Rebel informing him that DEA agent Denise Lowell is back in town, waiting, lurking and wanting to throw him back in at the deep end. A precursor to terrible and awful things. As a trauma surgeon nothing shocks Sloane anymore. She’s seen it all. But when six-years-old Millie Reeves is brought into the emergency room by her brother and legal guardian Mason, suffering severe grand mal seizures, sloan’s determined to do everything in her power to help this little girl. This book really had it all for me, action, suspense, intrigue, interlinking plots with Italian mob and Seattle underground fighters, steaminess, intense ups and downs and most of all it was emotionally charged. The characters development in this book was pure perfection and I experienced all kind of feelings while reading it. As always the chemistry between Sloane and Zeth is still hotter than ever. Their intimacy settles and soothes the other, licks their wounds, finding their safe place within each other. It's hot and also beautiful. "I press the pad of my index finger against the pad of his index finger, barely touching them together. For a moment, our fingerprints connect and it seems symbolic. We are two different people, so vastly, incomprehensibly different, and yet we are also the same because we’re more than the sum of him as person, and me as a person. We’re forever joined in this life. We are two sides of the same coin. Two halves of one whole. I defy anyone to tell me this isn’t true."« I don’t need money. I don’t need a better job, or a new car, or to travel the world. If I were to stand in front of a mirror and plead with the universe for anything, it would be this man."Soon they find themselves in a personal and unexpected situation neither wants to walk away from. Together, they have already been through so much but they are stronger than ever and planning their future despite their ennemies ready to pounce. As the drums of war beat louder, only time will tell who, and what, will remain standing in the end. "And I’m about to jump in with both fucking feet. You don’t pitch battle against a guy like me and expect there to be no fall out. You don’t come into my city and fuck with my home, and expect to sleep soundly ever a-fucking-gain. I won’t tolerate it. I won’t allow it. This is only the beginning."Callie Heart is a gifted author. She has the uncanny ability to balance all of the emotions while telling an amazing story that will affect your heart and soul. I cannot wait for the next installment to come out!

LIVE!!!!! http://amzn.to/2b7sCVg“I love that she obeys me.I love that she gives herself over to me with perfect, unquestioning abandon. I love that she trusts me.I love that she loves me.”Is there an alpha out there better than Zeth Mayfair? No, no there is not.I’ve said it a million times, and I’ll say it again. I will NEVER tire of reading about the world’s best alpha Zeth and his angry girl Sloane. Callie can write about this couple until the end of time and I will continue to obsessively consume whatever she writes. In the second installment of Chaos & Ruin, Callie takes us on another sexy, emotional, and crazy ride. And what I love most? How Callie can write supporting characters that I lovejust as much as the MCs along with her flawless ability to plan such an intricate web and weave all of their worlds. She writes emotion and brutality So. Freaking. Well.I loved the direction she took in this book. While the other books revolving around Zeth and Sloane have been ACTION PACKED and just downright crazy, this one took on more of an emotional and vulnerable tone. Zeth is still a force to be reckoned with, but you’ll see a side of Zeth you probably thought you’d NEVER see, and some scenes that will just make you full on sob."Vulnerable. It feels dangerous most of the time, but there's nothing I can do about it. I'm fucking addicted to her, and I wouldn't change that for the world."I don’t want to say much on the plot because it would spoil so much, but I can say the ending opens up SO MANY QUESTIONS I am dying to get answers to. As I said, I think you’ll be shocked by the direction this has been taken and I can only pray Callie decides to continue this with multiple installments and possibly even more series set in this universe (because I am gonna need me some more MASON! God I LOVE THAT BOY!).Callie left me breathless. Surprised in the best possible way. And as always WANTING MORE!Note: Savage Things is the second installment in Callie Hart's Chaos & Ruin series, which is a sequel to her Blood & Roses series. While Chaos & Ruin can be read without reading Blood & Roses first, believe me when I say you want to read about these characters from the very beginning! Blood & Roses stands as one of my all-time favorite series and is Callie at her best. I say this with full conviction – there will never be an alpha greater than Zeth Mayfair.Savage Things is live!! | http://amzn.to/2b7sCVg *An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review.Find Me On:Instagram ❤ FB Page ❤ FB Blog ❤ Blog

4.5 STARS! In Savage Things, the second book in the Chaos & Ruin series, we are reunited with Zeth, Sloane, Michael and Mason. While the lives of Zeth and Sloane have returned to some semblance of normalcy, Zeth knows it can only last for so long and it is slowly starting to unravel. With Mason’s life continuing to intersect with Zeth and Sloane, he is forced to make difficult choices but his relationship to Zeth is starting to become clearer. “Those motherfuckers will wish they’d never heard the name Zeth Mayfair. I swear, they’ll wish they’d never been born.”Various elements continue to be at play in this volume and the heat is getting turned up to a constant simmer. The vigilant DEA Agent is prowling around Seattle to pin a murder on Zeth. Also, the Italians in NY want extend their territory into Seattle. While these outside forces are looming, Zeth and Sloane must deal with new developments that prompt Zeth to delve into personal tragedy and introspection. The impact also affects Mason, and as difficult as it may be, it is monumental in showing depth and vulnerability.“The wall that stood between him and the rest of society has been deconstructed for a while now; it’s strange and unpleasant to see it go back up again so easily now.”Of course, let’s not forget how damn sexy Zeth can be! His passion for Sloane runs hot and at any moment he is ready to show her body and mind exactly what he can do! [Cue to remove all clothing and just surrender yourself! lol!] “You should be kinder to yourself,” I say, grinning from ear to ear. “Or at least let me be kind to you. To your pussy specifically.” “I’m going to bring you so close to coming that you’re delirious with need…until I all need to do is blow on your skin to make you explode.”Narrated in first person POVs between Zeth, Sloane and Mason, the plot develops in a way that can only be identified as Callie’s Hart unique style, as it is structured like a web so the characters and their plights are so tightly interwoven that it either strengthens or all floats away. I am happy to say that the storylines between Zeth and Sloane versus Mason are well balanced but with a slight emphasis on the former. It’s no secret that I absolutely love Zeth, and in this volume, we not only get his hot Alpha-ness but also a closer inspection into his heart and soul. At times, these emotions are polar opposites, but it poignantly shows how Zeth can be at war with himself. Overall, this second installation offers a solid range of action, savagery, love, loyalty and loss. For those who are already die-hard fans of Mr. Mayfair, it’s a no brainer, I highly recommend Savage Things! ♥ This was a (F)BR with Anna, a.k.a., Sweets! ♥

ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest reviewZeth Mayfair...Do I need to say more!!!!If you haven’t met Zeth Mayfair, then you are truly missing out on knowing one of the most badass book hero out there so I highly recommend you to read Blood & Roses Series and of course you must read Violent Things in order to understand what is going on in Savage Things.“I try not to think about the sound of his fists thudding forcefully into the heavy bag. I try not to think about the intoxicating smell of his sweat as he trains. I try not to let myself melt as I remember how hard fighting makes him. I try not to think at all.”In this second installment readers are reunited with Zeth, Sloane, Michael, Mason and Millie. Is there a moment of peace when it comes to Zeth, absolutely not. And so in this book, Callie Hart delivers a story of epic proportions that was layered with a multitude of depth, vulnerability, love, and of course Hart’s stamp of grittiness and danger. While this book mainly focuses on Mason and Millie, Hart perfectly weaves Zeth and Sloane into the story line allowing readers to be reunited with the man who has the power to kill and the woman he loves whose compassion is his salvation.Mason is one of those characters who catches you off guard as he slowly warms his way into your heart. His love for his sister, Millie is a connection that strips you bare as you see the love and sacrifice Mason endures for her. It is heartbreaking. It is inspiring. It is raw. It is love. In the backdrops of Mason and Millie drama, Zeth Mayfair and Sloane Romera are the center focus. They are that book couple who you love fiercely. Their love and connection is something that can’t be explained in a few words but is experienced through the many ups and downs they face. Their love consumes and holds you hostage so there is no looking away when it comes Zeth and Sloane. As Zeth tries to start his new life with Sloane, his past comes back with a vengeance. Like a bullet looking for it’s aim, Detective Lowell and the Italian mafia have set their sight on one target. Zeth Mayfair. And for Zeth Mayfair, the only thing that needs to be asked: How will he respond? “I thought there was a limit to how much one person could care about another, but it turns out I was wrong. It turns out the depths you can love someone are boundless. I don’t think I’ll ever reach a point where I can truly say I’ve reached my capacity for caring for this woman. It makes me weak . Vulnerable. It feels dangerous most of the time, but there’s nothing I can do about it. I’m fucking addicted to her, and I wouldn’t change that for the world.”Savage Things is a culmination of blood, death, violence, passion, sacrifice and love. As Callie Hart masterfully weaves these elements into the story line, she allows her readers to see the bigger picture of destruction and the vulnerability each character faces. Sloane Romero may be Zeth Mayfair’s angry girl but she is more than that. She is his lover. She is his hope. She is his beginning. And she is his end. As Zeth Mayfair comes to this realization, how far will he go to protect his angry girl? And when danger comes knocking on Zeth’s door, you better be prepared for his wrath because this king does not fuck around.Pardon my language but Callie Hart does not fuck around when it comes Zeth Mayfair, Sloane Romero and Mason. She has this uncanny ability to write a story that is heartbreaking, consuming, gritty and bold. With her raw prose, be prepared to get sucked into the world of Zeth Mayfair. Did this book make me want more of Zeth? Absolutely, and of course Callie has me begging for more of Zeth and Mason also.Review can also be found on Four Chicks Flipping Pages: http://fourchicksflippingpages.weebly...Callie Hart

This author can honestly do no wrong in my eyes. This series just keeps getting better and better. This series is a continuation of Zeth and Sloane's story so you can't start it without reading the "Blood and Roses" series first. It's dark, gritty, and just plain ridiculously good.

All I have to say is Zeth Mayfair. If you don't know the name yet, you are really missing out. I urge you to read Callie Hart's Blood & Roses series and then start the Chaos & Ruin series. Zeth Mayfair is one of my favorite alpha male characters. After reading Violent Things, I knew this series was going was going to be great. I love Zeth and Sloane. I will read as many books about them as Callie Hart will write about them. Savage Things picks up where Violent Things ended. The story continues with DEA Agent Lowell proving to be a pain in the ass for everyone. To add to that the Italian mobster from New York is still trying to get Zeth to work for him. Of course, Zeth resists and leads us on a crazy ride. We met Mason and Kaya in the last book, but in this one we delve more into Mason's life and also meet his little sister, Millie. Mason has been taking care of her since their parents died. She suffers from seizures and is treated by Sloane when taken to the hospital, thus intertwining his and Zeth's life more than he realized. And of course the sex between Zeth and Sloane is never boring. The always burn up the pages. They are forced to face new obstacles, one made me cry, but one brought a giant smile to my face. His love for Sloane is never in question. OMG! I love Callie Hart! She knows how to write stories that keep me hooked. I loved that this was told from Zeth, Sloane and Mason's POVs. I can't wait for the next book. This one read like it was setting up for big things that will come in the future. I'm dying to know what happens next.

I truly love Zeth Mayfair and Sloane Romera. In this series there is a new character though. Mason Reeves who takes Care if his sick sister Millie Reeves. He works for Mac across the street from Zeths gym and we met him in violent things. Detective lowell is back though and she will stop at nothing to try to put Zeth in prison. She's using Mason for information on Zeth by using Millie as colateral. Obviously Zeth is who he is so he pays attention to Lowell. Rebel even called him up and gave heads up she was back. In this book there is action, sadness, underground fighting rings, italian mafia, heartache, happiness, some WTF moments, love, sex, plus so much more This book, as anything involving Zeth, Sloane, Michael, or Rebel is not boring at all.

Dark and gritty with all the feels!4 starsThe second book of the Chaos & Ruin series, this book continues Zeth and Sloane’s story that began in the Blood & Roses series, and I definitely recommend reading that series before diving into this one. And of course you need to read Violent Things to understand this second story arc for them. I am the devil standing on her shoulder … I am her dark prince, leading her down paths she would never walk alone.Zeth and Sloane are happy, committed, and as loved up and filthy as ever. Again, I loved seeing them together, and I love how functional and open they are with each other. Zeth Mayfair is a badass, plain and simple. He’s a violent and dangerous killer, but he protects those that are close to him, and his love for his family, and for the woman he claimed as his, is clear in all that he does. And there’s just something amazing about seeing such a darkly dangerous man so deeply in love. I thought there was a limit to how much one person could care about another, but it turns out I was wrong. It turns out the depths that you can love someone are boundless. I don’t think I’ll ever reach a point where I can truly say I’ve reached my capacity for caring for this woman. It makes me weak. Vulnerable. It feels dangerous most of the time, but there’s nothing I can do about it. I’m fucking addicted to her, and I wouldn’t change that for the world. Zeth and Sloane have been through hell, and are happily settling into some sort of peace together, but life has other ideas. Not only is as an organised crime threat from the East Coast moving in on Seattle with Zeth firmly in their sights, but DEA Agent Lowell is also in town and gunning to take down Zeth once and for all – no matter who gets caught in the crossfire. The danger is building, and coming very close to home, and Zeth is gearing up once again to fight back and protect the ones he loves.“Those motherfuckers will wish they’d never heard the name Zeth Mayfair. I swear, they’ll wish they’d never been born.” The secondary storyline featuring young mechanic and part-time fighter, Mason, is woven into the book with equal importance, and I’m still gobsmacked over his storyline. Mason completely won me over with his love for his ill younger sister and his determination to do whatever he had to in order to protect and provide for her. I fell for his compassionate heart, and this book finds him stuck in an impossible situation as he fights for his sister, and for his very life as outside influences threaten everything. Mason’s life collides into Zeth and Sloane’s with even more intensity in this book, and I can’t wait to see how that is all going to unfold.Raw, emotional, dark, gritty and heartbreaking, Callie Hart brings all the feels in this book (and yeah, it made me cry). There are some huge game changers, and life will never be the same for any of these beloved characters. I can’t wait for more. 4 stars.

Wow i defenetly liked this sequel more, than Violent Things, so much more hapening and we learn more abought Mason and the ending made me cry i coudnt beleive Callie Hart went there, that Millie woud die i thought she woud survive, how Mason, Zeth, Sloan all reacted to her death was heartbreacking, what an impact it made on all of them, another plot twist abought Sloan's pregnancy, i thought it was tottalywtong at first because, they are both in a wrong place right now to be perents and have DEA agent and Mob Boss on there head, but the ending nd how Zeth is ready to do something for there baby he wasnt even prepared to do, for Sloan made me change my opinion abouht this plot, i only hope Sloan woudnt lose it.Overall it was a very good enstallment more plot developement and things hapenning more emotion and charecter developement

Will we ever get enough of Zeth Mayfair?!!!For me, absolutely not. Zeth is the epitome of a diamond in the rough as he taunts and teasers readers with his dark and brooding personality. Right from the very beginning of this book, our heart strings are pulled as we witness yet more pain and suffering for poor Mason Reeves. From a fleeting memory, to the present day battle he faces with his sister’s deteriorating health, Mason struggles to find the money to maintain Millie’s healthcare. With her medical condition seemingly getting worse, Mason, and Millie, find themselves in the care of Sloane. Not knowing of her connection to Zeth, Mason struggles to know what to do for the best to ensure he has enough health cover to fight the even bigger battles he knows Millie will face. Sloane is Sloane though, and not averse to breaking a few hospital rules, offers Mason a lifeline in order to maintain Millie’s treatment a little longer. As if Mason doesn't have enough to worry about with Millie, he also has Agent Lowell breathing down his throat as she determinedly tries to find evidence against Zeth to link him to the body found in the mountains. Mason is torn between his loyalties but Lowell knows just how to inflict the maximum amount of threat in order to make Mason dance to her tune. When Sloane finds out that Mason is working with Lowell, she immediately tells Zeth and Mason’s problems escalate. Despite the story focussing mainly around Mason and Millie, we still spend a lot of time with Zeth as he starts to feel pressure himself, from the Barbieri family in New York. After sending an envoy to convince Zeth to join them, Zeth’s now relatively quiet life looks to be one again under threat as war is declared. To compliment the sharp edges to this story, we also experience sadness and hope as Mason’s pain continues and Sloane finds herself facing a difficult decision herself. Michael, as ever, is always at hand to support both Zeth and Sloane though and with his life as mysterious as always, readers are left wondering just what he is hiding in his love life. The book ends with some delicious storylines ahead. With Zeth ready to retaliate against the Barbieri family, Sloane and Zeth, looking to the future together, and Agent Lowell’s never ending obsession with Zeth, I for one can't wait for more.I fear that Callie Hart will never get to escape Zeth Mayfair as his attraction doesn't seem to diminish. Despite this series being a spin-off from the hugely successful Blood & Roses series, it still feels like part of that original series but with different adversaries providing the danger. Mason adds a fresh feel to the story though as we're treated to a bad-boy in training. With his life now shattered, he is likely to come out fighting in an attempt to avenge the darkness he now finds himself in.This is clearly another hit from Callie Hart. Her writing continues to mesmerize and her storytelling is magical. I can't recommend her books, and amazing characters, strongly enough! Savage Things is book 2 in the Chaos and Ruin series and continues the story of Zeth, Sloane and Mason. While I love Zeth, Sloane and Michael like with book 1 I just found this addition boring. It seems they just go through the motions of everyday life. Mason that poor boy is having a harder time than book 1 and an event changes him forever my heart broke for him. Zeth and Sloane are also facing a life changing event that I look forward to reading more.

I love it when I'm right. I feel like Columbo at the fact that in my review of Violent Things, I said there was definitely a build up to something much much bigger and I am so happy to say I was right, because Savage Things was like a speeding freight train from start to finish.I loved book one, but this, for me was in a totally different league and dare I say almost as good if not just as good as the Blood & Roses series.Zeth was back to his best and was definitely the man we all know and love. Always like a ticking time bomb waiting to explode and that for me makes him so damn irresistible.Sloane was amazing throughout. She was hard as nails with a softer side, that we don't often get to see.Mason is a very complex character and it will be interesting to see how things pan out for him, but he certainly is one of the many reasons I am anticipating what is going to happen with this series.I'm probably not the only one when I say this, but I hate Denise Lowell. If she fell under a bus I really wouldn't be upset. However she isn't the only antagonist in this book. In fact there's so much going on, but despite that it's written in such a way that everything is clear and I literally was glued to the pages from start to finish. What I love about this series is the familiarity of some characters from some of Callie's former series and also the introduction of some new characters as well. All in all I simply loved this book. I need the next book like, yesterday!!!

This is the most emotional I've gotten in a Zeth/Sloan story. Callie Hart provides such a deepened look into Zeth's softer side. A side most would think didn't exist, but Sloan has always known lingered beneath his dark and broody persona. Hands down, my favorite!! Zeth and Sloane are still adjusting to normal life. Sloane is putting hours upon hours at the hospital, doing what she loves. Saving lives. Zeth is putting in his time at the gym. Working on his magnificent physique and training fighters. Doing what he does best. But his reputation and old life still has a hold on him. No matter how hard he tries, he can't shake the snakes that have come slithering around, but he does his best to keep Sloan out of harms way. But not only was I treated to more Zeth and Sloane, but Callie Hart introduced new characters that I invested in and felt for and cried with.Savage Things had me feeling every emotion I could throughout it's pages and had me turned on in some of the most erotic scenes between Zeth and Sloane. Those two can really get the juices flowing...if you know what I mean. *wink wink* I can't wait to find out what's in store for them next.

Love this author. Love this series. Minus 1 star -personal reading preference reasons, part of this storyline is a no, no, never read that ever- for me, I would have been happy to skip that section, and at this point, it's added nothing to the overall plotline. Seems like filler, hated it.

ZETH!!!! I knew going into this that I'd love it and I did! Any book with Zeth Mayfair is the sh*t! I just wish Callie Hart's books were never ending! I finish them so fast and have to wait FOREVER for the next one. I have 0 patience. There is so much going on! With the Italians, the DEA, Mason's situation and now Zeth and Sloane have more to loose than each other. They need to play their cards right.I honestly cannot wait for Lowell to DIE! I hate her so damn much. She's a pain in the ass for both Rebel and Zeth and now Mason too. Her clock is ticking down fast and I'm going to be there, front row seat, when she's buried 10 feet under. God she's a snake. Mason.....Mason Mason Mason. I did feel bad for him, with the responsibility of having to care for his sister, but he really should've been there for her more. I did feel a little sad for Millie, I mean her and Mason never really spent much time together, QUALITY time. I just wanted more time shared between them. And I'm not sure about Kaya. She's obviously the one Mason is going to end up with but she seems ... aloof? Just really casual. I want MORE between her and Mason, especially with the ending. I don't feel anything between them both but lust. I NEED MORE!Can I just mention how much of a freaking tease Callie was writing this book? She'd start writing this hot as f*ck scene, Zeth explaining in detail what he's going to do to Sloane, and then end the chapter! TEASE! An she did it with Mason and Kaya too! DOUBLE TEASE!Can't wait for the next one! I really want to read Tribeca though. I miss those crazy New Yorkers!

Oh my lord. I love Callie Hart, and I had previously loved Sloane and Zeth's story. This continuing series is no exception to my fondness for their story. This book, was so intense. It made me tear up, my heart race, and my heart ache. For someone who isn't a doctor, Hart truly knows how ti represent the intensity and the toll this job has on people. Reading the last half of the book gave me huge adrenaline rushes because of what was happening. Sloane and Zeth are just so magical together. They share a beautiful connection, that pushes them to be better and greater people. They are and have been for many years one of my favourite book couples. I'm super excited to fond out what's going to happen with Mason due to the ending of this book. I predict a change in him, and I cannot wait to find out what it is!Can Lowell disappear from the face of the earth now? As always, a great work by Callie Hart.

Title: Savage ThingsSeries: Book 2 of Chaos and RuinGenre: Dark RomanceHero: 5/5Heroine: 5/5Storyline: 5/5POV: Three different POVHEA: Well there isn't a conclusion yetOverall rating: 5 BILLION Stars BLURBZethAt the eye of a violent storm, everything is calm. It’s only when the storm shifts that your life explodes into chaos. The $#*& is finally about to hit the fan for Zeth. After months of blissful quiet, the wolves are at his door, teeth bared and snarling, baying for blood, and the sinister elements of the Seattle underground are closing in tight. In other words, things are about to get bad. Real fucking bad.Zeth Mayfair isn’t your average criminal, though. If the New York mob wants his allegiance, they’re gonna have to force him to submit. If the cops want his ass in chains, they’re gonna have to catch him first. He’ll kill the wolves. He’ll ride out the storm. He’ll make his enemies suffer. Zeth Mayfair is about to crown himself ruler of the city, and fuck anyone who dares to take on the king. They will obey, or they will fall. The choice is theirs.Sloane Death is a bitch.Sloane Romera sees death every day, looks it square in the eye, and she does not flinch. When Mason Reeves brings his little sister into St. Peter’s emergency room, a dark cloud hangs over the kid—one Sloane recognizes all too well. Millie is gravely ill, but it's not too late. Sloane's determined to do everything in her power to help her, regardless of the cost, regardless of how many rules she must break in the process.Mason’s struck a deal with the devil, though. A deal that has painted a huge target on Sloane’s back. There’s every chance she’ll be dead by morning, and the man she loves might not be able to save her this time.If there’s one thing Sloane knows, it’s that you can’t cheat death. When the Grim Reaper demands a life, a life must be given. Bargaining won’t work. Begging is futile.A life for a life. The debt must be paid in full.Where to start???!!! Let's start with Zeth and Sloane. Just when you think their story can't get anymore complex... it does!!!! My love for Zeth will never fade. Ever. He's just LIFE! What made me love him even more if that's possible was getting to see his softer side, his more emotional side. The way he loves Sloane is incredible. Sloane is definitely one of my favourite heroines. She is so sassy and confident, and she stands by Zeth come hell or high waters. And then Mason and Kaya, oh my days... These two have to be some of the best supporting characters I have read about. I would really love it if they got their own book, because I feel like these two are characters that you could write and write about. I knew from Violent Things that Mason would be a force of nature, but it still blew me away seeing just how much of a force he was. Kayla can definitely keep up the pace with him too, but we definitely haven't scratched the surface with these two.Overall, this series is just out of this world, but this book in particular has to be one of my favourite Callie Hart books yet. I never knew she could cut me so deep, but boy she did. This book is quite an emotional one, with of course many twists and turns along the way, and I am actually scared for what will happen, as there are still like a million unanswered questions!!!! ***** ARC RECEIVED IN EXCHANGE FOR HONEST REVIEW***** *****ARC RECEIVED IN EXCHANGE FOR HONEST REVIEW****

5 OMG ZMFM is Back and Still Getting BetterOK here we go again!!! Oh yea you know you want to do this again you Zeth Lovers!!!Callie you cease to amaze me! She has the ability to draw her readers in and make us hold our breath until the end of the book. The whole time we are completely mesmerized. This is the second book in the Chaos and Ruin series and please do not for one second think that Callie is retelling the Blood and Roses series here. No! Of course we have the main character from B&R, Zeth, Sloane and Micheal oh and that B*tch DEA Agent Lowell. She finds a way to sneak back in, but we also have new character still her from book one, Mason, Millie, Kaya and a few more. This book picks up right where the last leaves you.Callie is a master of creating new action sequences and drama to keep the reader excited, as well as the spectacular sexy scenes with Sloane and Zeth. Ladies do not fear Zeth has not lost his sexy edge! And we welcome some new love attraction and sexy scenes between the new characters.Callie continues to make sure the reader know that Zeth is still a Bada$$ Mother F*cker and can still kick anyones a$$. But the best part is every new book she is revealing more and more about Zeth and his soft side. Yes who knew that beast of a man is developing one sexy soft side. Please pick this book up. If you love Sloane and Zeth in the B&R's series you will not be let down in this series!!! I promise you will laugh, cry and hold your breath while reading this book. I know I did.

Wow! I love Zeth Mayfair and the more of him we get, the deeper in love I fall. That man! He's so bada$$ and protective and I pity any person who threatens either himself or his angry girl, or even his friends for that matter. I like Sloane more and more. She loves her man and she's such a strong and caring doctor. The tenderness and care she gave to Millie. I admire her so much. Mason. My heart hurt for this man who has given so much of himself and never seems to catch a break. Savage Things is book 2 in the Chaos & Ruin series. You need to read the books in order or you'll be lost. Wicked Things is book 3 and loaded on my Kindle to read next.

"Vulnerable. It feels dangerous most of the time, but there's nothing I can do about it. I'm fucking addicted to her, and I wouldn't change that for the world."Having survived the fires of hell Zeth and Sloane are now content in the shelter of their love as the whole world burns to nothing but ashes around them. Sloane has returned to work as a doctor at the hospital whilst Zeth runs his own gym, spilling blood all day long legally. The calm before the storm is a time for preparation, Zeth and his right hand man Michael know things are deceitfully calm and do not trust the lull. Lowell is on the prowl, unable to let things lie and Zeth is aware of the rat in his house. Yet his love for Sloane allows him to consider all angles before he acts to exterminate the threat, he is still Zeth the man we have all fallen in love with yet he's now more measured in his acts of retribution. The loss of Lacey has had a profound effect upon our anti hero and he is a man determined to live for the love of his life. Sloane has her own epiphany, reconciling her reality with her expectations of her life. Accepting her day to day will never be normal as Zeth is the ultimate legend of who not to mess with, the Mafia I'd declaring war and the DEA agent won't give up is but two of their problems. Savage Things is an evolution of Zeth and Sloane as their relationships grows into something more. Mason is unwittingly used as a pawn in a game much larger than himself and he pays the ultimate price, he is left a broken man with nothing left to lose. Michael as always is resolute, a tower of strength for both Zeth and Sloane, an unsung hero to the pair. Savage Things has a razor sharp edge of violence and a barely restrained need to wipe out all those that threaten Zeth's happiness, he is content with his woman but his past and status keeps haunting him. Sloane faces her ultimate challenge and it almost breaks her, leaving her changed and fractured. Her strength is her unbreakable love for Zeth and his unshakeable need to keep her safe from their enemies. The plot has a more melancholy tone, as the pieces are moved once again on the chess board and pawns are sacrificed. I cannot wait to read the next part in this story as war has been declared by the Italians, silly silly Mob and of course the devious Lowell who will never learn her lesson when it comes to Zeth. I was heartbroken by the highly emotive scenes involving Millie as a tear escaped my eye, I was swept away by the grief and tragedy experienced by all those characters, it was raw and I hope a motivation to end the game once and for all for those involved. I really enjoyed this book, it wasn't what I was expecting and far exceed my preconceived ideas of this story. I need more Zeth. More Sloane. Not forgetting Michael and Mason of course! A four and a half star it time to wage war read. ~*~ Obsessed by Books copy given in exchange for an honest review ~*~
